Good Sport Mystery Box Pick Up

1.jpg

No matter how you feel about Valentine’s Day, we’ve got a themed box full of local art and products curated just for you or your chosen recipient. Support The Central Collective + local artists, makers and small business owners while gifting a box to yourself or someone you care about. Each box contains one greeting or postcard (blank or with a message of your choice) and 4+ awesome items. Available for shipping anywhere in the U.S. or pick up at The Central Collective Feb 12 @ 2-6pm or Feb 13 @ 11a-2p.

Choose from one of our six themes at check out, fill out a short questionnaire about the recipient, and we’ll get to work on a unique box that’s sure to amaze and delight! If you’ve purchased a box before and want to avoid repeat items, just let us know in your check out form and we’ll do our best to create a totally new box for you!

Box Themes:

  • Love Always (classic Valentine's Day romance)

  • Love Spell (think crystals, tarot, all things witchy and mystical)

  • Love Thyself (self-care! coziness! treat yrself!)

  • Love Everyone (a gender neutral box for folks looking to steer away from items associated with Valentine's Day)

  • Love Hurts (for folks who hate Valentine's Day, are feeling down on love, or disdain sentimentality)

  • Love Fashion (all things wearable for the fashion forward!)

  • Add-on options (add to cart separately): Heart-Shaped Fried Pies (pick up only), Custom Love Song by The Song Garage, Oglewood Ave airplant in resin holder

The Good Sport Box was created in March 2020 as The Central Collective’s way to stay connected with our community, support local makers, and help sustain ourselves in a time when owning a community event venue is especially challenging. Sending out hundreds of these boxes lifted our spirits (and gave us something to focus on as we waited to see what the future held). We’re so grateful for the support and positive feedback we received and are thrilled to add more artists and makers to our list of contributors for our February box.

HERDCORE Virtual Exhibition

Herdcore-0002.JPG

HERDCORE, part photo series and part “Party PPE” fashion line, is both a blithe diversion from and somber look towards the lasting cultural effects of a global pandemic. This collaboration between Central Collective co-founders Dale Mackey and Shawn Poynter vacillates between whimsical, unsettling, hopeful, and cynical, echoing the range of emotions collectively experienced in the past six months. You can view the project online and see the Party PPE in person all September at Honeymouth’s new location in the Old City.
